Shocking stuff.  Almost as bad as the Bolton away game - only difference being that Sunderland are actually a better side than Bolton.

We've had a lot of bad results when we've played fairly well - but today we were rightly beaten.  Grim grim stuff.  How on Earth Charlie Adam continues to get picked in such a vital position is utterly beyond me.

He's been dogshit all season long - has nothing to his game and he is chosen in our most important position.

Can't see how Henderson and Adam keep getting started in such influential positions. Both need to be dropped for the derby.

Just could not get it together today,We never looked like the team that played Arsenal last week,how come we cant raise the Tempo againest the weaker teams,Makes me sick!!!

Poor would be a compliment for this shower of sh*t we've watched today, any slim hopes we had of 4th just completely disappeared. Get the kids out for the rest of the league and hopefully bring a few of them through for next year because there's plenty of room for them in that team.

Not enough heart, not enough passion, no belief and the quality was some of the worst I've seen this season. No idea how we go from playing so well v's Arsenal to this, but just that simple fact says that some of those guys aren't good enough to be starting. Henderson, Adam and Kuyt the main issues for me, absolutely nothing from any of them the entire game and should all be dropped.

Very disappointing. But we know now 4th is gone and can concentrate on the FA Cup.

The British players Kenny has bought besides Bellamy aren't as good as Meiriles, Aquilani, Joe Cole or Ryan Babel who we let go.  So we need to go again in the market and get it right and push these players to the bench as squad players.

Good point or doing that will make them up their game.  They damn need to earn their fecking place.

And to make it worse, Drogba puts Chelsea up in extra time.

 Sorry to say but this team is really a joke of a team and not any better than Roy's one. Woeful, really woeful transfers, the worst I've ever seen considering sums paid for them. Starting to doubt Kenny's the right man for the job.

At least now Adam has come off the other players are starting to get their fair share of the criticism.

I rate Adam as a sub at best, Saint. But for me he's been better than Downing, Carroll and Henderson over the season and he cost a lot less.

Gerrard (probably Skrtel as well) was our best player despite only playing like 15 minutes. Sums up the squad as awhole as well when it's the veteran player who is still the best.

I hope Kenny gives them a spanking.

Adam shouldn't be starting anymore. I'd rather have a 75% fit Steven Gerrard than him.

Transfer rethink required for the summer.  The players brought in, Enrique and Suarez aside have not upped their game.

First time I've started to doubt the direction we're heading in, that was truly awful.

McMahon has this to say about Henderson ........ he doen't drive forward, he doesn't defend but running all rounf the field. That sums it up.
