I've said for a while now I think we have the squad but its about finding the TEAM within it, we had all our previous success (70's & 80's) with a settled team !

Motm Stevie, with Kelly runners up, the lad has a bright future ,he has the determination in him and there"s goals in him.

mOST IMPROVED PLAYER THIS SEASON

What was so great was the way the team came out and played some fantastic football after such a terrible performance at the weekend. We completely dominated Everton tonight who has been flying in the league lately we could of had 6 tonight

Very good performance tonight and I don't think anyone had a bad game.

Defence solid with the two full backs in particular excellent.

Midfield also controlled much of the game and although Henderson was very quiet early on in thought he played very well as the game went in. Jay was solid in the middle and Downing had a decent game on the left.

The front two were better as a pair than they have been this season and Andy won a lot of balls and had one of his better games.

My MOTM went to the captain as apart from the hattrick I thought he was excellent all night and was all over the pitch at times. He got forward whether could but also sat back and dictated the play for large parts of the game. As much as wanted to give it to Kelly and how well he played Stevie just edged it for me.

I think that 20% is clearly somebody who can finish. And will take a shot on. Hopefully Stevie can stay fit, and Carroll will start banging them in too.

As much as I despise them, don't forget that was an Everton team that hadn't been beaten since January (?) and was in top 4 of the form table.
