Dirk's double hundred Premiership games

Next time Dirk Kuyt steps onto the pitch in a Premiership game will be his 200th appearance for us in the League.

For man who has had his share of critics over the years, that's not a bad achievement. Will become the 80th person to ever play 200 or more League appearances for the club as well. Hopefully he can add to his 50 League goals as well.

Well in Dirk lad.

I always feel comfortable with Dirk in the side . I like him purley because of his attitude and the fact he plays were the manager tells him to and gets on with it a true team player well done Dirk .

Fantastic achievement, theres few men who can honestly say they've given 100% every time they've stepped out on to that pitch in a red shirt.

Dirk is definitely one of them.

He's a credit to the club always.

None of the silky skills, the lazy truculent attitude or seeking the limelight for Dirk.  A great team player who gives everything to the team, runs until he drops, then gets up and runs some more. A player of outstanding character that must inspire those around him. His second touch may be a tackle as some have said, but Dirk makes that tackle and many more besides. He takes a great pressure penalty too, and is one of the best at creating space with his selfless running.

Does come in for flak at times but im glad we have him and looking back what we paid for him and looking at the service we have had back from Kuyt he is well worth it.

1 in 4 rate in the league? Not bad at all for a midfielder. Love Dirk to bits.

Working class hero!

This last decade he must be one of the most underated players we've had. A throwback to some of the players of old, stick him in a pair of clogs (I know it sometimes looks like that's what he's actually playing in) but it won't stop the fella from running all day long. Great commitment and he's been a credit to the club.

Top man Dirk, has scored so many crucial goals in his time here.

He deserved the Carling cup possibly more than anyone in the current squad for what he ha given to the club, id love for him to add the FA cup in a couple of months time so he has medals as well as memories to look back on his time at Anfield in the future.

Love the bloke's attitude to the game though.

Fantastic achievement from dirk,he has had his critics but would sooner have him in a Liverpool shirt than not.he is a valuable asset to our club in my opinion,his work rate is unquestionable and gives his all.
He has scored countless important goals and some memorable ones also.
I for one hope to see many more appearances by dirk in a red shirt.

Nice achievement, and for a clumsy, slow, headless chicken who can't play on the wing, 50 goals in 200 games is pretty good going!

Seriously, though, have a lot of time and respect for Dirk, a true professional.

DLS you started the Stevie G 400th game thread and I correctly forecasted a hat-trick for the man.

Now to Dirk, I predict 1 goal, a tap in from a parried free kick. 

Even though he has the worst 1st touch I've ever seen on a footballer, the man will always be remembered as a Liverpool favorite because every time he pulls on that LFC top, you know that you will get 110%.

The one thing I always associate with Dirk. He's the last man off the pitch having applauded all four sides of the ground. He obviously knows he is priviliged to play the game and hasn't lost sight of who it is that pays his wages. Top bloke

He s always the one we have a pop at and yet the lad has given his heart and soul for the club.
Why is that?

The original Duracell...if you look at some of the critical goals he has scored his importance has been severely under rated.

You always know what you're going to get with Dirk, 100% commitment to the club, puts his all into every game and never ever stops running, a Liverpool hero for me and has put away so many important goals for the club.

Always been a huge fan of Dirk no matter how frustrating he could be at times. One of the most intelligent and hard working players around, could play for any team in the world.
