No disrespect to you Ad, but comments like this piss me off. Away against a hostile team and atmosphere, i'm glad he's not playing. Why would you throw him in against a maniacal Newcastle crowd and a team that has been flying this season?

Hugely disappointing bench.

Dissapointing not to see Sterling on the bench and to see Carragher in the team. Finally Shelvey gets his chance at least

Good to see Shelvey in from the start, as well as Maxi returning to the bench. Shame there's no chance of a Sterling cameo though, regardless of atmosphere.

Good to see some players relegated to the bench.  Good to see Flanagan getting the nod again and fingers crossed that Shelvey puts in a good shift.

Not going to be an easy game at all - hoping for a good performance.  Good luck red men.

Could be the closest we've had to a 4-3-3 this season, looking at the personnel.

Not going to be easy at all JD but if we mange to take some of our chances i feel we can squeeze a result out of this, come on you red men stand up for the shirt ,for probably the first time ever i am slightly dissapointed Carra is in the team as i feel he has been found wanting quite a bit recently and is making to many errors.

Delighted to see Shelvey getting the nod! Hope he does us proud now after many posters, myself included have been crying out to see more of him.
I think most know my feelings about Carragher nowadays so I won't bang on and just hope he doesn't give away too many penalties today 

Can understand Raheem being left out, an appearance against Villa at Anfield next week would be better for him.

Good team selection overall, great to see Shelvey and Bellamy back in there. About time Henderson and Downing were dropped to be quite honest.
