He isn't... He has energy, covers ground well, you don't have to fly into challenges like a Macherano to have a defensive responsibility.

Against this villa midfield I'd be comfortable him in there.

Holding doesn't do Gerrards game many favours, I'd let him get forward and get the game won then take him off.
