I've thought about this for years off and on, but John Barnes for me was/is the best player we've ever had at the club.

Same here mate, from 88-90 he was one of the best players in the world.

Greatest player Ive ever seen live in a red shirt without question.

Next season could be immense for him.

I think he should send Carra out to do it after the classic dressing down he dished out to the same fella after the League Cup final.

Still cracks me up!

Looking back, i can't really fault many apart from Jones for the second and Flanno who had a pretty shocking 20 minutes.

Martin and Seb outstanding at the back together in clearing everything and Hendo who busted his guts at right back. Jonjo superb in the middle, Jay supporting everyone everywhere and Maxi who was his crafty self. Andy was superb up top, our best IMO, and Craig was everywhere in support even though not much came together for him.

Even Johno looked pretty good for being out a bit.

On to Wem-ber-ley! Delighted.

I find it funny that some people seem to be praising Carroll and putting down Jones when if it wasn't for Jones, Carroll would've scored an own goal

Forgot to metion last week I was in London for this match (theatre Visit with Bev extra birthday pressie for her ) anyhow we found a bar to watch the game in and I was a little nervous as I didnt'tknow what the reaction to my Shirt and shouting would be like.
Not a problem after Maxi got the first 2, the place erupted ! on Blackburn's first reply there was a lone Blackburn fan sat in the corner (who swiftly left after Carroll's header !) was a good night in there I can tell you ! 

F*ck it I thought we'd won in the league again.
