Liverpool vs Everton (14/4/2012), 12.30 pm, FA Cup semi-final, Pre-match thread

I deliberately didn't post a score prediction for the Blackburn game and we won, so I'm not doing one for this. 

I voted Everton win as everytime I voted Liverpool this year we lost.
But just after I remembered we won two times against Everton this season with me voting Liverpool.
Hope it won't make us lose. Would feel a terrible culpability.

This one will be close unless the ref decides to balls it up 2-1 to the redmen !!!!!

Kenny Dalglish today challenged his players to rise to the Wembley occasion and keep their dreams of a Cup double alive.

The Reds take on Everton in the capital this afternoon with a place in the final at stake, and after returning to winning ways at Blackburn in midweek the boss has urged his men to 'stand up and compete' against their Merseyside rivals.

"When you get this far, you want to go on and win it," Dalglish said.

 "Winning the trophy is the more important thing and in order to do that we need to win the semi-final.

"As a footballer you always fear losing. You want to win and we're not any different.

"We respect our opponent but the most important thing is how we prepare ourselves.

"We need to stand up and compete. We know what the rewards are.

"We have to ensure we're ready physically, mentally and tactically."

Dalglish admits team selection will be a tough task today following the return to fitness of Daniel Agger, Glen Johnson and Martin Kelly.

Lucas Leiva is the only player ruled out by injury while goalkeepers Pepe Reina and Doni are suspended.


"Glen, Daniel and Martin are all OK," Dalglish said. "They have done very well to get back to fitness and we are grateful that we've got them all fit.

"We're fortunate that they've come back at the right time for us. The more you have to choose from, the more difficult it is, but it's a good position to be in."

Getting more and more excited as the minutes tick by, got my lucky red underwear on and my MsGerrard LFC top, need something to do before kick off......can't come quick enough for me now

When we lost the second  goal at Blackburn ,the Everton game did  came to mind  unsettled would be a word to describe my thoughts for the up coming Semi Final game  ,till  Big Andy`s header when in , then I thought dont be so f..... stupid ..
