Interesting, very interesting. I always felt a bit funny about the arrangement. Kenny obviously wants full control and, to be honest, who could blame him.

Can't say I had any positive opinion of Comolli. He seems to be one of these guys who is clever enough to make some money out of the game without actually being needed at a club.

I'd listen to Guillem Ballague's opinion on a player before Damien Comolli's tbh. Both are 'amateurs' who never played at the highest level.

Comolli gone, that's Stewart Downing's first assist of the season.

First scout I've ever known that loves to get his face seen, first scout I've ever known in this country to have that silly European title he gave himself and the first scout I've evr known to be called a 'Super Scout' without actually doing anything super.

Never mind Graham Carr, his lad could probably do a better job than Comolli.

Only gripe is the timing, could have a negative effect on the confidence of the lads he brought here. It's like basically saying they're sh*te on the run up to a semi-final. On the flipside it could make them come out with something to prove.

Without a doubt it's a decision which provokes a lot of thought. Very nearly a mirror image of Parry in a lot of respects - any bad signings down to him; the good ones less so.

If it is the case (which contradicts all previous reports) that he's solely responsible for the 'poor' signings and the boss is now seeking 'full control' then, like Benitez before him, logic dictates Kenny will have to perform well next window.

I believe this can only augur well and may be an indication that F.S.G. are going to put up. They have to or what's the point?

All on Kenny in Summer now it seems. Could be our biggest Summer in years (Again).

Mutual consent my arse. A ruthlessness from FSG I didn't expect, but won't oppose.

Its a good sign that the owners are committed and aren't prepared to accept mediocrity. Bizarre timing though, makes you wonder why they were so eager to sack him?

Micky Quinn has just said on Talksport that he has heard that all the summer signings were down to Comolli and he's not surprised.
He also asked if John Henry could give him a ticket for Wembley 'cos they'll have a spare now!

Kenny Dalglish: "Everyone we have brought in since Damien (Comolli) arrived has been my choice."

The timing isn't weird, this gives the club time to scout new targets for the summer transfer window!

This changes it for me and cast doubts over Kenny's posistion, either that or it was mutual consent.

General consensus is Kenny highlighted the players he wanted, but it was Commolli who was tasked with negotiating the fees, which were outrageous in most cases.

Hense the reason he has taken the fall (?)
