Was getting interviewed just before on Talkshite by Keys and Gray and basically said he signed Suarez, Enrique, Henderson and Coates

Kenny signed Adam, Downing, and Carroll.

I enjoyed the interview. You always read what a good personality Comolli has and it's true. He comes across really well. But he doesn't really reveal or say all that much, just that stats will tell you Alonso and Xavi are crap but when you watch them they're fantastic of course. Also said intelligence is a big factor in good players. He's a big fan of Lucas and has big hopes for Andy.

Comolli enjoyed some success with the Spurs signings as he will with ours.

He will have signed a confidentiality clause not to be allowed to discuss the sacking or detrimental things about the club in order to receive his pay off I would think Shabs.

Damien Comolli is the leading candidate to become the director of football at West Bromwich Albion after settling his Liverpool pay-off at an employment hearing on Wednesday.

He left the club in April by mutual consent after being appointed in September 2010.
 
Comolli oversaw the spending which brought Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez to Anfield.

To be fair the signings he made for the most would be great at mid table clubs. The issue was he not only bought mid table players, he bought them at top club prices. If he does similar signings at actually reasonable prices, I can see it working our for him at West Brom.

Pardew believes Newcastle owe Carroll a "great debt" for generating £35m for the club when he joined Liverpool.

The Newcastle manager says the cash enabled the Magpies to finish fifth last season and qualify for the Europa League.

"The fee was astronomical, we have used it well," he added.

Newcastle have signed Papiss Cisse from Freiburg for £9m, Yohan Cabaye from Lille for £4.8m and Demba Ba from West Ham on a free since Carroll left the north east almost two years ago.
