Without being nosy. How'd you get them both for free? Anyway, that's a very good buy.

Signed a contract basically on a business tariff, monthly payment of £66, no cost for products.

      Ahhh I see mate.

I managed to get a iPad free from work. I've never used it for work though .

      I pay £40 a month for the SGS2.

Retina display, apparently - like the iPad 3.

The iPhone's had a retina display for 18 months.

Never liked contracts, Id rather buy the phone as one big sum, then top up when I need.

When I got the Samsung Galaxy SII, I paid £300 for it brand new on Facebook xD then got a simplicity sim card, £15 for unlimited calls, texts and web, and if you dont feel like it one month.. dont top up.

Why are all contracts 18 months these days? Do they still do 12 month ones? I get bored after a couple of months and have to change.

I'm always happy with my own phone, until the new iPhone is announced. :D

Got the 4S, which has been fantastic, until October 2013. Was talking with a mate about how much you'd get for this in resale in order to put towards an iPhone 5 when it comes out. But realistically it's unlikely I could justify throwing a spare £200-300 on a new phone when the one I've got will carry the vast majority of its functions, through the iOS6 update, marginally slower and possibly on a slightly smaller screen.

      iPhone5 released today.

But the 12th Sept 2012 is not the day to discuss this.

Link from BBC if you want it.

I am a ex-iphone user and after i lost my iphone 4 (had 2nd, 3rd and 4rth gen iphones). I bought a galaxy s2 9100. Its brilliant and cheap. I was afraid that i am throwing away my money on a samsung phone and i wouldnt like it but i am glad i bought galaxy. Why i am posting this in a iphone thread?

Because iphone is a pretty phone but you can get alot more for the money you are paying to apple. Just a friendly advice.

iPhones are Barbie Dolls for grown men. You carry them round, dress them up in little outfits, accessorise, & get a new one every year.

Prices and tariffs are out now.

      16gb is £529, 32gb is £599, 64gb is £699

Cheapest plans are about £33 a month and roughly £100 for the 16gb handset. (24 month that is)

I'm a bit of an Apple fanboy but I don't really see the appeal in this one to be honest. I've an iPhone 4, but this one just seems to be an iPhone4S with a panorama camera. There's nothing that really jumps out at me. Most of the Siri stuff isen't even available in Ireland! FFS we're not that far away from the UK.

The iOS6 update will do for me. It's a shame too cos I was gonna buy this one too.

      Brilliant.

I reckon Apple could release the exact same phone as the new iPhone and people would still buy it.

Ordered mine yesterday as my contract ran out three weeks ago on orange!. I agree doesn't look to much different, will be interesting to see how much quicker it is with the new chip and by all accounts it is a lot lighter.

The guy from Orange said I should receive it in the next thirty days!, he also said that when the new EE network comes out I would have the opportunity to migrate to that network F.O.C. or stay with Orange. From what I can gather 4G will only run on the EE network. Does anyone know if this is correct?. Cheers
