Knew he would miss, said on another forum before he took it, and as soon as he stuttered it was obvious he was going to miss.

I could be way off the mark but with Sturridge the thought of being better than others and then realising the spot-light is actually on you and if you fail now there is absolutely nobody to blame but himself was too much for him in my opinion and just served to make himself look a bit of a fool with the stutter step and eyes. Learn from the Koreans they simply scored the penalties in simplistic fashion of fantastic placement. Well done to them.

Team GB's massive success throughout the rest of the day really puts into perspective how pathetic the game of football is in this country relative to other sports.

Why do we give them our time of day?

Says a lot when the GB crowd put more effort in to booing Suarez than they do in creating a hostile atmosphere for the opposition during pens.

Trust them to bring the standards of the games good sporting behaviour down to their level. Probably mostly English fans and as we all know the England supporters are largely filth.

Why do people stutter on pens? It nearly always results in a save.

I saw Stuart Pearce yesterday morning running through the local park..looks like a right miserable fella.

Was going to ask him about Bellamy and Allen but thought he might stick the head in me or something  :o

We know where the majority of Engerland fans come from, that is why if and when Terry get's back in the national team you won't hear a murmur - there might even be some cheering for the pr**k who was accused of being a racist.

Too true, all our Olympians have been brilliant, no ego's, just loving their chosen sports, even apologising for not getting Gold, they are all heroes, then up pop the prima donna footballers to F**k up as usual. Sturridge really is a billy no bollocks.
