I think we will start with 5 in midfield as we did against Norwich, which means no place for Carroll.

      To give Ju an answer:
      Reina

      Johnson
Skrtel-might be Carra(wouldn't be my choice)
      Dagger
      Enrique

      Shelvey
Spearing(Henderson will no doubt be in midfield)
      Gerrard

Kuyt(big game player. We'll probably see Downing)
      Suarez
      Bellamy

      Anyway:

      Good night to Ju all.
Know that Ju'll never walk alone.
      Well except for Ju.

kuyt he infuriates me, he's like robbie fowler but not as natural. He does get into sum gud positions but his touch is awful. Steven Gerrard is the man of this team no bones about it

I think we will see Gerrard playing in the hole behind Suarez.  Before tonight I thought Maxi might have been in with a shout, but now I think just Gerrard.

Think it might be a waste to play Suarez wide especially as he was on fire last time out. Can't see Carroll getting much joy out of Terry either, so I would be more than happy with the starting 11 from the Norwich game (main choice being Spearing or Shelvey for me.)

Or did you mean Stirling? Option perhaps from the bench, but not a starter for me.

I believe we all just got trolled lads. We can use and spell infuriates properly but then sum gud?

That is the spelling equivalent of being rick-rolled right there.

Ah Saint, must be late there my friend...perfect set-up for ya with the "two in the hole" line.

meh I will chalk it up to fatigue.

Totally disappointed with the result and effort put in by our lads,I would of liked to see young Sterling come on a bit earlier as he wanted to be involved in the game. The one positive to come out of this match is Kenny will know who for certain  to leave out of the team and off the bench at Wembley.

      Posted in the Kenny thread.

      Feel the pain. ..........

A home win behind QPR and Blackburn

Worst Anfield result sequence since 1948-49

Need to score five against Chelsea to beat our worst goalscoring record at Anfield. since 1903.

This is either a great underdog confidence trick to make Chelsea think we are hopeless or ...

      We are hopeless.

Don't know why people are getting so worked up over this game. It is a game we didn't want to play, a game that we wanted to get out of the way.

Thankfully we picked up no injuries or suspensions, Chelsea play later and will be forced to play a full strength team. They may well pick up injuries and suspensions.

If we really needed to beat Fulham today we probably would have with Suarez on top form.

Agree with most of this mate and I didn't really get too worked up over the result myself but what I didn't like to see was the sheer lack of effort and desire from some players who should have had something to prove, if not for this season but for next.

Also while our league form has been going downhill since the League Cup win and much of our focus appears to be on the cups I still don't like to see Liverpool players showing such a lack of will to win a game if football and it seems Kenny feels the same if we read his comments after the game.

The result didn't really matter one way or the other but that is no excuse for looking like we didn't care if we won, drew or lost.

It's funny but when people (me included) say we should be challenging for 4th and not getting over excited about winning the league cup people always say 'We are Liverpol we exist to win every compition we entry/to win every game we play etc etc'

But after another awful performance the same people are saying its ok, we have cup final on the weekend, the league finished a couple games back for us etc etc

      So which is it?

A worse league finish and points total than last season is not acceptable esp with the outlay we had during the summer.

The league hasn't finished so people should stop acting like it has and it's ok to keep losing as we have a cup final still to go.
