For me, AVB would be the wrong decision completley! Has to be Rafa. Pep is probably out of our league at this moment. However, he may fancy a challenge. Either way, whoever comes in has a very very difficult job.

People have messed up with our club.
Thinking about Chelsea and Man City after their take over and ours makes me even more sad

I'd like to punch out some of the F***ing "fans" that are literally cheering about this decision. Clueless F***ing mongoloids with no respect or brain cells between the lot of them.

I hope all those players who know themselves that their lack of character has contributed to the departure of a gentleman of greater integrity than they could ever conceive of, are at this moment hanging their heads in shame.

This. Kenny devoted his time so much to those failing players and now they know they will not get the chances they were given under Kenny. What a gentleman Kenny was in trying everything to make these players work.

Mate I told you all Kenny was going two weeks ago.

I told you all yesterday Kenny had not been sacked or resigned.

I told you all Kenny landed at heathrow yesterday morning.

I said the owners were analyzing his report before they made a final decision.

And I said David Dein is giving FSG all the advice.

All of it turned out to be correct.

I'm not ITK, I just happened to friendly with some one who does get a lot of info.

Look, i just feel that this is the wrong decision based on the fact that we are removing managers too quickly, in my opinion we should never have sacked Rafa in the first place and here we are two seasons later with two more managers gone.

Whoever comes in needs time, whatever happens, the fans that start to bang the drum need to sit on their hands for 3 seasons minimum and get behind the new manager or we will be here again next season.

FSG... Big call, big and quick decision needed, we are in a mess right now and need to be planning for next season now... But with no manager and no direction from above that i wonder how we can be.

I only hope this was mainly Kenny's choice to stand aside, as I certainly don't think he was given the time to implement his style of play or correct mistakes that were made in building his team.

Fenway Sports Group (FSG) and Liverpool Football Club announced that Kenny Dalglish is to leave his post today as Manager after having his contract terminated.

Liverpool legend. Still love the man. Right decision by Fsg though but there going to need massive name to replace him to stop back lash against them.

Dont think Lambert martinez or rodgers will stop the back lash.  One man for me but can't see it happening

Overjoyed with emotion when he got the job, sad and as near to tears as a grown man gets when I heard this, it feels wrong to have the words "liverpool sack kenny dalglish" in the same sentence, how football has changed.

Whatever happens we will never ever get a man again that loves the club selflessley like Kenny....this is a truly sad day, even if we win the league next year - how can you replace the happiness we all feel when we score and Kenny gives his two armed salute WITH THAT SMILE.....LFC is more than a football club, but today it feels like a business.

I agree with you, Kenny lives and breathes LFC,   but to the American owners it is just that......business...... there is no sentiment in business - all they see is the $$$$$

The King is the King. His status will never change so he needn't worry.

He came back, won a trophy brought us to Wembley and will always be revered by any real Liverpool fan.

Now FSG better F***ing put their money where their mouths  are; give Rafa Benitez, Fabio Capello or AVB the job and give them at least £70m for players.

See ya Kenny thank you so much, it might not have always been smooth running but I've no doubt in my mind that u saved us from almost certain relegation last season under Roy.

As far as FSG go if Kenny says they handled it well ill give them the benefit of the doubt, all I'm gonna say is the nxt guy better be world class, he better be given a wedge of cash n be given 3 years minimum to impose his philosophy.

I'd love Rafa back but think its maybe just a little too soon and can't see FSG bringing in such an LFC idolised figure again. What I will say is if they gonna bring in martinez or rodgers they will have lost the supporters before a ball is even kicked.

I'm open to almost anyone but I'm almost convinced Martinez isn't the choice. If he's the man to replace Kenny I will be F***ing fuming. Only one Spaniard suitable for the post. AVB or Benitez you idiots!

I just want to thank the King for making me believe again after the Woy and Hicks & Gillette era. I wasn't alive to see his glory days as a player and a manager but after everything i've heard and read i honestly believed he could do it all again for us. Especially after the Carling Cup i thought it would be the first of many.
