My learned friend having mounted a challenge feels that a point of law rests on the definition of "Official Announcement".
Although on a forum dedicated to Liverpool Football Club an English sporting instituion of some repute  the wording Official Announcement is not qualified as to by whom the Announcement is "Officially"  made.

It can be construed in this Courts eyes that the Chairman of Swansea City Football Club in his official capacity made such "Official Announcement"  which would be sufficient in law to be granted relief.

On the other hand the ambiguity can be construed to be any Official Capacity.

M Luds rule that everyone should share the sweets as no one knew what the f**k was going on, when and by whom.
