Then he's thinking like a fan rather than a professional footballer Si so Dr Peters needs to get to work getting that monkey off his shoulders.

Shouldn't have stared Gerrard or Lucas. I won't pretend i didn't want Borini to start because i did unlike some, but it seemed against West Ham we need more balls and strength than speed up top, which would of made Lambert more suited.

Come on Brendan, we seem like we've lost our focus, sort this sh*t out.

1 against Saints, 3 against City, 1 against Villa, 1 against Ludogorets and now 3 against West Ham - that's 9 goals conceded already this season. He needs to sort this team out because we clearly haven't improved defensively and if anything, have gotten worse.

The defence is worse than it's ever been under Brendan, and the buck stops with him. The same mistakes are still being made, the defenders look unsure how they are supposed to play and be positioned at set pieces.

3 years he's been here now and he has just ignored the defence. I get he has his philosophy and it's one I agree with, but no matter how ugly the defensive side of the game is, it is what wins you titles.

He's spent an absolute fortune on the defence, and nothing has changed. Brendan always talks about how he develops players, well how about you start doing it with some of the f**king defensive players.

Today was an absolute joke, rant over.

He accepted all the plaudits last season so he has to take it on the chin now.He has been very poor this season and today is a new low.
We have to decide (or he has to) what sort of side we are this is not Serie A and playing Stevie so deep worked well for some games last season but now everyone is aware of it and it is no longer working for me. Play him in his role or drop him this side is now out of balance

      My player ratings:

Mignolet: In no mans land for the first goal, overall shaky and is going through a very dodgy spell. 5/10

Moreno: A good player playing in a poor team right now. 6/10

Manquillo: Not on long enough to score.

Lovren: Where has that commanding centre half of pre season gone? 5/10.

Sakho: Awful on the day. 4/10.

Gerrard: Leggy and ineffective, couldn't run the midfield on his own and can't anymore. 4/10.

Henderson: Absolutely cringeworthy. Totally devoid of the capacity to take any responsibility in possession, our MAJOR fault at the moment. 2/10.

Lucas: Poor but at least tried to take advantage of the space he was afforded. 5/10.

Sterling: Our best player and MOM by a mile. 7/10.

Borini: Completely ineffective, awful on the day. 4/10.

Balotelli: Put a shift in and showed some decent touches. 6/10.

Lallana: Made a difference when he came on and had his best moments in a red shirt so far. 6/10.

Lambert. Ineffective in his brief cameo. 4/10.

Just stick your rating for Brendan in there as well mate and the jobs a good 'un.

I thought Brendan had a bad day at the office today. I don't think he got his formation right or made the right substitutions. Although to be fair I don't think Paisley would have made much difference with the way our players played today.

I agree with your ratings Mick (although you may be guilty of being overgenerous :) )

Has to take this one on the chin doesn't he. Better performance in the second but by bringing on Lallana it simply showed up what an absolute shocker of a decision it was to play Lucas alongside Stevie. Really poor decision. I was also baffled at the Lambert for Borini sub for the 10-15 minutes of the game. It played right into their hands. Two big target men up top, four in the middle means you get the ball wide, try and generate a couple of two on ones and get your crosses in. We don't play like that, we can't play like that and West Ham can defend all day against teams that do.

Lallana and Sterling the only players to look like doing anything.

Brendan needs to figure put what sort of a team he wants us to be. I'm a bit lost and confused because he has gone out and bought two big target men and yet that seems to fly in the face of the philosophy he has promoted the past two years. Probably a good time to play the derby. To be honest, we need a lift badly.

Bad choice to play Lucas and Gerrard. Seems confused about what is our strongest 11 is and even what our best formation is!

His big problem is he puts Gerrard down first and works the team and his tactics around him. This was West Ham today thank God it wasn't Chelsea it would have been humiliating
