(Fairly) urgent question RE kids at matches
      Jul 18, 2012 05:03:48 pm
So even though I logged on bang on 14:00 yesterday when the ticket window opened, I failed to get tickets for me, the missus and my 9 year old son in the family section for the game v Stoke.

Tomorrow morning at 08:15, I will be trying to buy tickets for elsewhere in the ground.

      So to my questions:

      • Can my son sit anywhere in the ground? I'm not sure what the benefits of the Family Area are exactly.
      • Would I still get his ticket at a lower price or would I have to pay an adult price (he has Junior Membership, obviously)?

I emailed the club yesterday with the same questions but they haven't got back to me yet.

Hopefully this will answer your questions Rep, I do know the only area for family is the Upper Anny Rd end, in which case if you wanted to sit elsewhere in the ground you would have to pay full price for a seat for him.

You might be waiting for a long time for the club to get back to you, let's just say they're not very efficient on that score  :-\

That link just takes me to the list of FAQs. I can see where it says that the Family area is in the Upper Anfield Road end but I knew that anyway. It still doesn't say what restrictions there are on him sitting anywhere else.

Like you, I'm assuming I'd have to pay full price, which is a bit much.

There wont be any restrictions on him sitting anywhere else in the ground as long as you pay full price  :o

I took my kids to Fulham game last year and had to pay full price for Lower Anny Rd.

As I understand it, unless you're in the designated family section it's full price all the way  :(

Just managed to get tickets for me and the missus!

I know it may sound tight not forking out full price for my lad but he doesn't even bother watching us when we're on telly any more so it was just an idea if we could get them at family price. If he was mad on LFC then of course I would splashed out.
