Fantastic routines by Kristian Thomas on the high bar and Dan Purvis on the floor to finish their competitions.  They really stuck at it.  Well done lads!

A dramatic end to the competition, Uchimura of Japan took the gold comfortably, but the silver medal position went first to Leyva of the USA after a brilliant final round on the high bar.  He was then overtaken by Nguyen of Germany after the score for his final floor routine catapulted him up to second.  Feel for the Ukranian lad who came fourth again after the team's fourth place.

Kristian Thomas did well to finish in 7th place on 89.406 points just .001 behind 6th place!  They haven't shown Dan Purvis's position but I don't think he was very far behind.

To me those lads looked fu**ed they must be exhausted and they deserve all the credit in the world for what they have achieved.

What a routine by Louis!  That was excellent!  He scores 16.066 but his execution mark was lower than the Hungarian so it's silver for Louis!

Silver and bronze, well done lads!!

Silver and bronze is a brilliant achievement by our lads.

If I'm not mistaken, Louis Smith won a bronze in Beijing but I can't remember what event it was.

What a routine by Beth Tweddle in the uneven bars!  Such a shame about stepping backwards in her dismount.

Beth in silver at the moment with 15.916.

Down to bronze with two to go.  The russian gymnast scores over 16!  One down, scores under 15.  Gabrielle Douglas of USA up last.  Big error in her routine, has Beth got bronze?

YESSSS!!!!  Gabby Douglas scores 14.9!  Beth gets bronze!!

Finally a 2nd gold for Brazil! I arrived really late at work this morning cause I wanted to watch Arthur live, and I did. It was worth it though! I was expecting a medal but certainly not gold, it was a big surprise when I saw his score. Well done, Arthur Zanetti!!

Kristian Thomas up for GB in the individual men's vault final.

First vault was a good one!  Scores 16.366!

Oh no!  He sat down on landing, what a shame.  Scores 14.7.

Bad luck Kristian but well done in making the final.

I heard Arthur Zanetti's gold medal was the first ever medal (of any type) won by a South American gymnast. Truly a historic moment!

I watched that. Thought the Chinese was going to get it until he popped up in the end to take it in brilliant style. Really happy for you. I think it's important Brazil gains some momentum ahead of Rio in 4 years time.

Congratulations to Beth Tweddle on finally winning a medal at the Olympics!

Well done to Beth Tweddle winning a bronze in what must be the twilight of her career I would have thought.
