So is there something inherant in being an LFC supporter that you have to read the worst into every scenario? I expected to come in here and see folks excited and we're already moaning about the squad and reading things into who's playing and who isn't. Maybe Brendan is just using this matchup to see what some guys will give him and give a rest to those that are going to have a long grind for the upcoming season?

Sorry to moan, but what is the point in pre season games if players who do well dont get a start when the first "real" game arrives. Never mind Downing and Cole ahead of Shelvey but Stevie hasnt even as much training done. Kick in the hole to some young lads there. Confidence wont take much good from it.

Sloppy start.

You can see how high up the pitch Enrique and Johnson are playing though.  Little bit dangerous when Carragher there at the back - could get undone by some of their players who look like they have some pace.
