Cracking performance lads, massively improved on the first leg and really impressive. A lot of positives and virtually no negatives, love the way we played and looking forward to our next game, much more like it lads!

I actually don't remember when we have played that "clean" in recent memory.

Really great match to watch and I think everyone put in a good performance. Really impressed with Downing and how Enrique put in a much better shift than other pre-season games.

Something thats impressed me tonight....

If I remember correctly the boss demands his team win the ball back if they lose it within 3 seconds or something like that. Now while it hasnt always worked the attempt and effort to do so has, thats great to see at this stage of proceedings under Brendan.

Very pleased with the way we played, with the way the players worked hard and with a good result. Suarez m.o.t.m. from Gerrard. Great to see Lucas back, Agger get a game and Borini get a goal.

Johnson with a beauty, Stevie with his 150th LFC goal and Borini on his home debut. A great performance, may be too early to mention "Tika Taka" but we've moved it round well.

Suarez was amazing tonight. Very encouraged by Borini's peformance, as well. He has a great first touch and seems to link up well with the rest of the team. Enjoyable match.

Yes, so obvious from that that Agger wants to stay but the owners are open to offers.

Great performance. Very professional.

Suarez and Gerrard's link up play was brilliant. Good to see Borini linking up well with Suarez in the early stages too and he took his goal really well. Hope to see more of that from him this season. Downing looks like he's playing with more confidence and I hope he continues this. Gerrard looked very comfortable on the ball all game. Was just as sharp in the 90th minute as he was at the start, which is good. Defence didn't have much to do (which is obviously good) but when they did, they took care of it without a problem. Same for Lucas. Great to see him back. Shelvey was all over the place trying to get involved in everything all the time which I expected to see as he's wanting to impress. Nice to see Joe Allen in the crowd too. Only a matter of time before he signs.

Couldn't have asked for a better game really. Looking forward to the new season with confidence.
