Playing just behind the striker in a 3 man midfield.

Funny how the one man who talked him up the most used him the least effective. Klopp and Hughes have pushed him higher up the pitch where Rodgers had him as a holding mid.

To be fair to Allen, he upped his game when Klopp came in, and was probably our best and most consistent midfielder last season.

Don't know about  anyone else but I could do with some Joe Allen right about now with our injury problem and uncertainty over Coutinho's future.....

Is that the extent of your imagination, a mediocre bog standard midfielder?

Oh please, he was playing great for us during the end of his tenure. And yes, that is the extent of my imagination which apparently is even more robust than Klopp's, since the extent of his imagination is a CM that isn't for sale. No other players in the entire world that can improve us apparently.

If Allen was playing so great, why was he sold, it seems Klopp and I view him slightly differently to you. In our opinion, presumably also Klopp's, he was extremely average and I can't think of one player in our team or squad who he would replace.
