A Stoke fan asked me about him so I replied with the following text:

+ Extremely skillful, hard working enough, likes to take his man on.

      - Low game intelligence, poor positional awareness, very little end product.

To be fair, he's barely been given a chance but he hasn't contributed a great deal on the occasions he has.

      Sound about right?

I like Assaidi and wish we'd have seen him a bit more, but this is pretty much spot on.

How has he been doing on loan? i've not heard much or even seen any game  highlights or clips of his time so far.

we only paid 1mil for him so think BR is trying to put him in shop window to get a high profit return on him or to improve him so he can be a LFC player.

he got half an hour in a 0-1 loss at fulham then played the full 90 in a 0-0 with west brom. unused sub before those against norwich and the latest game v mancs. now would be time to kick on but stoke isn't going to be the best place for him to settle into the game is it, even if he grows to understand what is happening around him, it's f**king stoke. I guess they always have one winger type in the squad and he could actually do well enough for them to buy him and play the role. pennant replacement?!

I take it this view is made on the Tony Pulis's Stoke, not this seasons Mark Hughes's Stoke, who in all fairness try to get it down and play more.

yeah quite silly of me - but I was thinking about their team and they still have many physical players who have been there for years who are used to playing the way they became infamous for.. I have seen the last couple of seasons that the big men can play and combine power with pace to put good goals together, they do have a seasoned side. I guess I'm coming from the view that he isn't getting the same kind of experience that say Suso is, going to a side we would've picked out that 'suits' better, but I understand the different situations there. Assaidi is 25 performing in the Prem anywhere is a big plus, Hughes could do things that we or I did not expect!

He's all over the £3m player we bought. Sadly when you shop at those prices you, usually, get what you pay for. Sometimes it works; most times it doesn't. I wish him well wherever he ends up.

Thought we only paid 1mil for him, either way he's in the shop window to be sold as you dont get bought at his age and loaned out, youth players get bought and loaned out. To be honest i'm thinking he was maybe even a Kenny signing and a deal was already in place before BR took over as he's not had a shot at all since he took over.

Oh dear. Whatever gets you through the night I suppose.  :-\

It shouldn't really matter who signed him or for how much (unless it supports an agenda) - just whether or not he can contribute here (the same goes for every player, in my opinion) and the thing is; just like Carroll, Brendan doesn't rate him enough to pick him as a starter. He'll never have a part to play in our first XI, in my opinion.

Great Stike last  night if he can get a few more that will only add to his value and even give him hopes of playing for LFC again next season

Honestly would have been a decent option off the bench for us, hope when he comes back Brendan gives him a chance to be an impact sub at least.

Cracking goal that, quite a mystery his time here, whenever he came on he looked to offer something dynamic on the wing which made it even all the more baffling how Stewart Backpass Downing kept his place last season while Assaidi couldn't get a look in.

I like Assaidi a lot, that goal was great but he's got a lot more than just that in his locker, he's very tricky and pacy on the wing, I remember that League Cup game last season against West Brom, he was brilliant, but for whatever reason Rodgers didn't trust him and went with Downing instead.  He's already played in more league matches for Stoke than he did all last season for us.  If he keeps developing and adjusting then I'd love to see him come back next season and be an impact type sub coming off the bench in the last 20-30 minutes, when the defenders are exhausted from Suarez, Sturridge and Lewandowski running them into the ground.
