Saving him for the Europa league games I guess, was kinda disappointed when BR took Borini off and replaced him with Downing instead of Assaidi

He's been injured, no need to rush him. Our squad is small as it is.

damage he's not fit for the mancs because with the pace and skills of raheem, suarez and assidi
we have more options for beat defenser like da silva vidic or even evra

Interesting video, I enjoyed that. His pass on 69 minutes is a peach, but other than that it's something of a mixed bag. On a personal note, I'd like to see him looking for the ball into the corner more often than he does, he tends to peel off the fullback towards the half way line more than I like. He's obviously got a bag of tricks, he can hit it with both feet, but he isn't blessed with a searing turn of pace.

As for last night, he was glued to the touchline much more than he was in that video (whether instructed or not I don't know). There were a couple of times where Sahin in particular looked for him to want the ball inside the fullback but he was caught coming too square. I thought he was OK, but to be honest not much more than that. Hopefully he's just finding his feet.

I thought he had a good promising debut. He'll give us something different. Love his quick feet.

I think he's going to be a good impact sub and squad option. Not sure he should be starting week in, week out, but I loved his energy and desire to take players on. Good signing for the price.

Well we can't rely on Sterling all the time. And do you want to play the likes of Downing or Cole on the wings other games? He will most likely rotate with Sterling.

Truly outstanding performance tonight, love his decision making above everything else. Picks the right pass at the right moment so often, add to that the ability he showed to skin his marker in many different ways and a bag full of pace makes this lad my player I most want to see more of at the moment.

If tonight wasn't a one-off and he can play like that consistently we have a real player on our hands, brilliant display Assaidi, brilliant.

Certainly looked bright didn't he and to be fair he looks a player in the youtube compilations (I know they all do!) so the question is can he do it against better oppo in the EPL. Judging by tonight he looks to have a bit about him doesn't he. Great close control and love the fact he plays so direct which is something we sorely lack. If both Assaidi and Sterling can develop and contribute on a regualr basis this seaosn you have to think the goals will start to go in sooner rather than later.

Agree wholeheartedly with this. Well said, Luke.

He offers us real skill and some pace on the wing - the things that Stewart Downing doesn't. Really excited by this lad and think we have a real prospect here.
