Wanted Monchengladbach to get through, but not looking likely now.

Dirk got a vital away goal for Fenerbahce, bit Spartak lead 2-1 in the other game i watched.

Feel sorry for Gladbach, wanted them to go through, but their lack of experience in European competitions was strongly felt after Dinamo scored. I also didn't understand why Hermann and Hanke were on the bench, especially Hermann who I personally believe to be one of their best players (would absolutely love him at LFC).

Oh, and I didn't know that Dinamo had signed Miguel Veloso and Niko Kranjcar. Very good players for their level. I've been advocating that we should have gone after Kranjcar for a few seasons, underrated player IMO.

For the German side, Luuk de Jong had a game to forget. Poor in attack and even scored an own goal.

It was a shame to see Gladbach struggle. Great tactics and good play but when you're beaten at the back with ease it's very hard.

Herrmann is a cracking player and I thought he'd be on from the off. I think Arango is about past it personally, not a fan of his anymore. de Jong was very poor, so was De Camargo.

Kiev look a good side.
