Sterling! Very bold move. And an obvious signal to Downing.

      Assaidi on the bench?

Raheem with a cut-in from the wing and a rasping shot in  the top corn er at 23:02.

Alternatively, anyone scoring at any time and nobody touching the F***ing woodwork.

No Assaidi on the bench? Hopefully we see him against Hearts.

After seeing the Citeh lineup I think we will win this one comfortably. In fact I am so confident that if we don't win, I will not post again till we do win a game...... see you next season :D

If he wasn't eligible to play the first leg against them, he won't be the next one either. :P

I'm impressed Rodgers dropped Downing for Sterling.

Age shouldn't matter; Sterling has more to offer than Downing, end of story.

Surprised that Assaidi didn't make the bench to be honest.

Good team, nice to see Rodgers give Coates and Sterling a chance when he could easily have played it safe and gone for Carra and Downing.

Very brave move by Rodgers and indeed the correct one.I am sure it sends out a signal that playing on the basis of reputation is over.

Didn't think his age would be keeping him from starting him this game,  more the fact that he already played a full game just a few days ago. Can't see him play alot  more than 60 minutes this game.

      He's 17. Energy isn't a problem.

He'll play more than 60 if he's making an impact.

Maybe Rodgers thinks he needs another week to get up to scratch with his adaptation to his system.

Don't worry about Sterling lasting the full 90 minutes guys. If he doesn't, we have...

      Henderson.

He deserved a starting birth after his performance vs hearts too. Glad to see BR's going for the jugular with the lineup, hope it pays off. I just put a fiver on him to score 7-1 (not the greatest odds).
