Can we have a thread for the deadline day, like in previous windows?

A place to concentrate all the twitter garbage, the "I saw Thierry Henry in the airport" kind of stuff, and other clubs' rumours as well - for those like me who actually take great pleasure from deadline day madness

Differently to previous years this time I'm actually quite confident going to the deadline day, hoping we'll have signed two new players by the end of it.

I'd love to get Sturridge in on loan, Dempsey, and Walcott / a wide forward. Would be fantastic business

Haha. Wondered why it shut at 11pm GMT.

So anyway I was just speaking to my Uncle who's best mate is a taxi driver for Delta. He says that his mate had Loic Remi in the back of his cab tonight and that he dropped him off at the Hilton ahead of him completing a medical in the morning at Melwood. Apparently he (Loic) didn't speak much English but he told my Uncles mate that the fee was quinze million Euros.

Just like to add that I trust my source is accurate, but make of it what you will.

The Times claims that we agreed a deal with Fulham for the transfer of Clint Dempsey - cash plus Jordan Henderson, but Henderson turned down the move. I have to say, I thought Jordan was worth more than Dempsey, so I'm glad that he rejected that.

Also, with Adam and Spearing leaving, surely we can't afford to be getting rid of any more midfielders. I'm getting deja vu from last season now. Started with a cracking set of midfielders, and as the window went on, some left and it wasn't as strong in depth. Then, after a few injuries we were lacking in that position. 

Like Andy, I feel Jordan deserved a chance this season. Wonder whether or not he'll choose like Andy did and realise that if he wants to play he'll have to leave.

What is interesting is that someone mentioned a while back that all of Dalglish and Comoli's signings were really not wanted by the owners and they wanted rid apart from Suarez. Forget who so sorry for not giving them credit here but looks like they were bang on with it if the rumours about Henderson are also true.

Have to realise also just because we paid £16m for him, doesn't make him worth £16m, he played at the level of £5m (my guess of course) player last season and it's easy to argue he did the season before too so it's not beyond the realms that his is true and if it is it's a clear statement to Jordan to find yourself a new home unfortunately for the lad. I'm not against a bit of ruthlessness though and despite all the "potential" signs he's not getting younger at 22 and isn't exactly developing quickly either having a full season, most minutes played I believe last year, I see a bigger future for Shelvey, always have.

Dempsey for cash + henderson would have been a shocking deal! I want us to get Dempsey but i believe Henderson has a decent future.

That Henderson/Dempsey story simply isn't true.
