I'm waiting for the FSG spindoctors to come out and try to put a good spin to the SNAFU we're currently in.

My one concern with Brendan is the fact that he only seems to want to play HIS tika-taka way, now every manager should have their principles, but also a plan B - Andy Carroll, I thought we were far too predictable today. I know its early on in the season so Brendan is still to stamp his mark on the team, so this is not a knee-jerk reaction, I'm just expressing my opinion about how we may potentially be neutralised. I think Brendan is going to have a great future in the game, and although I'm not 100% certain about him yet - due to the point I raise earlier, I do believe he will find the 'right balance' with our squad given time. Its more a case of, what do we do when plan A isn't working?

How much could we have done with Carroll's knock-downs pushing them back today, we needed a focal point. It was meant to be Suarez, I agree with many others, I don't think he's a main striker, more a free role/trequartista(to use fm terminology :') haha)

I get what you're saying but there is an underlying cause for concern.

I genuinely think that FSG told Brendan to get rid of Carroll in order to free up money on the wage bill to bring in another player or two. They would have told him that Andy had to be gone before they could sanction any further signing/signings. Andy didn't want to leave but obviously Brendan had to force him out to get the players he feels he needed. Carroll loan move was sorted on Thursday which left Brendan time to get Dempsey or somebody else.

FSG then used the 'we are not going to overpay for someone' line instead of telling Brendan the truth, that in fact they were never going to pay for another player all along. There is no way on this earth that Brendan would have let Carroll go without a replacement. No manager would have.

We'll never know the truth until Brendan leaves or FSG sell out. FSG picked us up on the cheap and after initially welcoming them they are slowly turning me against them. They have stripped us down to our bare bones and only seem concerned with saving themselves money.

No person can be that thick that they don't realise that they have to strengthen a team to improve their chances of winning silverware. FSG know exactly what they are doing.

They may not have promised to put a spade in the ground but their actions recently have shown they look like they are gearing up for a sale.

After witnessing our play against city last week , i truly thought we would do these today ,i honestly feel fcking sick, on the birthday of the great one , i witnessed a fcking disgrace from our team today the body language was all to fck from the start ,Allan  apart we were inept today ,the reality of what happened on friday looks to me as if it has shook the players as much as us, we are in for a very rocky ride and our resolve will be tested yet again .

I think you're right , the shambles of Friday has indeed shaken  the players. They are definitely feeling the pressure. I have no idea how Brendan handles pressure like this , but I guess we are all about to find out.

I honestly wouldn't blame him if he gave FSG 2 fingers and walked away.

Disgusting, and I lay the blame firmly at the door of FSG. They have nowhere left to run or hide

This your anti-FSG agenda is laughable.

FSG gave a lot of money last season. They gave some this season too. Give them a break.

Agreed, but I would add that Sterling did okay for a kid and Shelvey too when he came on.

Gutted after that. The future looks pretty bleak at the moment.  :(

Truth is, we have a team that should be challenging for cups, so this level of performance is inexplanable and worrisome.

What am i hearing on this forum too many knee jerk reaction so it's still early days but look at Arsenal last season started very poor but finished third in the table so we have to be patient cos it's not Brendan Rodgers fault we lost 9 players & replace them with 3 players. This season is a learn process season cos we changed new manager, new coaching staff, new philosophy & also bought new players so it's going to take time to gel things together but i hope the fans don't turn their backs on Brendan Rodgers cos he is a right man for the job...

First 35 minutes we looked like world beaters, creating chances and stuffing the gunners, but build up after build up there is nobody to score. Think the squad/fans just lost heart when Arsenal scores after doing fck all up to that point.

I am sure we will have one come January.

Pakistan, Myanmar  and Laos are full of clinical strikers.
