How solid do Belgium look, they're one of the best teams going into the World Cup I reckon.

                                   Mignolet

      Alderweireld   Kompany   Vertonghen   Vermaelen

                              Witsel      Defour

        De Bruyne                                          Hazard

                            Benteke      Lukaku

Courtois, Van Buyten, Chadli, Fellaini, Dembele, Mertens, Mirallas, Vossen. Quality team

Can see them getting to the semi final and maybe even the final. They'd be my bet aside from Brazil. Belgium have quality in every area of the pitch and on the bench and I cant think of any nation having the strength in depth all over the pitch like the Belgians. Rate their chances better than Spain as well, Spain have a frail defence IMO and Casillas is barely playing going into the tournament, Valdes is dodgy as f**k and Pepe is overlooked as the starting choice (wrongly).

Don't really see Belgium as contenders yet as this is the first actual international tournament for all those players, expect it to be more of a learning experience for them. Going to be a scary team once some of those young creative players start hitting their peak in a few years though.

Mostly agree with you. Think we can challenge for the semi's but we have growing up to do until WC is here.

To be honest I'd have Dembele in there too.

Probably for Lukaku or Benteke and play a 4231 with Dembele in behind.

Also I'll be controversy but i actually think De Gea earns a place ahead of Valdes. I really think De Gea has made huge strides in the last 18 months or so, some saves he's pulled have been incredible.

I'll be called a closet United fan but I truly think De Gea has improved a lot.

Valdes is having an excellent season and deserves to be number 1 for Sapin, but VDB being the politician is trying to keep Iker happy but adopting the old Shilton/Clemence policy.

Also as I was calling you a Spurs and United fan ynwa_lfc I forgot...

Dembele won't play in behind Lukaku or Benteke, if he is brought into the team as first 11 he will play next to Felliani

You're probably right. Don't think Felliani suits the team.

Sweden should have had a penalty just before Ronaldo scored

And Ronaldo should have seen red for an attempted headbutt. Just because it didnt reach its destination, it dont mean it isnt punishable.

Germany favouites for me to win it. Spain wont be dethroned easily though. Brazil cant be dismissed on home soil and Argentina will be suited to that to

Belgium lost to Japan and Colombia this week, just a friendly ofcourse but I think those teams took those games as a serious test for the summer. Japan really deserved to win against Netherlands too this week, not that that says much because we're sh*t currently. But I like what I've seen of Japan, some of their combinations were lovely, Honda is class.

I still think we'll see South American winners this summer though.
