Age of Empires Online

I used to be totally addicted to the good old Age of Empires II, but haven't played it for a few years. Checking out the free to play games on Steam, I found that Age of Empires Online is free, so decided to download it. Judging by the videos, it seems similar to the old game, just with a better and more modern look.

Has anyone played it yet?

I used to enjoy Age of Empires I and II, but thought this didn't look the same when I saw it

Oh yes, AoE! Loved playing I, II and III, which was about the "New World" and all. III is very much different than the previous games though. Just a head's up.

It was always such a simple game with left and right clicking, but very enjoyable. Once you get it going Diego, let me know how it is.

How can we download this game online?

I played it when it first came out, but it started crashing for some reason, so I don't play it anymore.

I like AoE III more.

Do you have Steam? If not you can get it here (top right of page).. http://store.steampowered.com/

Once you have installed that, made your account etc.. when you open Steam, on the store page just search for it in the searchbox

For some reason I don't seem able of making it work! I installed it alright, the game starts, patches, but when I click "play", it suddenly stops with no apparent reason. I tried to solve the problem by looking for this problem on the internet but the solutions proposed still didn't work for me. I'm almost giving up already... real shame, I was looking forward to playing it.

I downloaded age of empires 2 about a month ago, hadnt played it in years. Awesome game.

Have a look out for Gangsters 2, was out at the same time and was boss.
