I'm a Liverpool fan and for my undergraduate dissertation I am looking at the globalization of the Premier League and in particular the big clubs and their growth. I am interested in people's opinions on the influence Liverpool FC has as a global force and I would particularly like to hear from Supporters / Supporters Groups from outside the UK.
Do you feel closer to LFC as a supporter if they have pre-season toured to your country of birth (USA, Malaysia etc)?
Do you think these tours are beneficial to the club in terms of revenue streams?
Or is it more for the benefit of fans in other countries having the opportunity to see their idols?
Any responses on this matter are welcome, or any other opinions you may have about LFC globally.
