We need to sign a LB bad. Glen is a star on the right side and with a proper LB we could be much more lethal in attack and defense. We need to find someone who plays like Baines does. I think eventually that will be Jack Robinson but he is not there yet. We need a LB who can pass and move but still has some defense in him. Just my opinion but Enrique is looking more and more like a CB due to his inablilty with the ball.

I'm not so sure, personal opinion I think Jose needs to lose a little bit of timber, but he's not that bad a player, just think he needs to find his form from his first six months at the club. And I think Baines is just a little bit over-hyped and looks like a hobbit too!

Watched the replay of the game. Amazing how if Jonjo just gets more of the ball instead of falling down we probably are having a completely different discussion.

Enrique was frustrating at times but overall I think he played ok. That pass to Suarez sure made up for a lot of his shortcomings.

I don't think Enrique has ever been good enough going forward. He was always incredibly one footed and lingered on the ball. Now he has lost his ability to defend and is a liability when on the field. And while Baines might be overrated I am not saying we need him but we do need that style of player at LB IMO.

Wow - so I take it this is the same inability that put Suarez through to score right..? Jesus christ...

B-Rod said a few weeks back to a lot of players and the media that there were a few that thought they had it made here and they needed to srt it out. I think Jose, Downing, Cole, Pancheco, Hendo (to a degree) and Jonjo (again, to a degree) were the ones he was talking to. From them only Jonjo, who looks more ikley to be the next Gerrard than anyone at the club and Jose have done anything. The others have, between them done about nothing. Downing, I beleive is trying - but has such a low level of confidence I think he will go... How you can lay into Jose after that game is amazing, IMO... He is on his way back, and when he signed he looked class - a dip in form does not mean sell him - I also beleive when Glen is on the right they will look a lot better!

What style of player is that? Hoof it as hard as you can with your left foot and take a decent free-kick, that's all I see with Baines.

I want full-backs that can defend first, then attack.

I can see Jose and Downing, but I disagree with Jonjo and Henderson. Henderson is just tentative so as to avoid mistakes. Otherwise, he has a terrific attitude and work rate that would indicate he's not just settling.

Enrique is a Kenny player, a bit more direct. Not exactly a player that will help you keep possession. Good defender though. I can't really fault him for getting beat by Ben Arfa, who is one of the best widemen in the league. He did pretty well against him overall.

Need men in the box, badly. We saw what could happen when men are in the box when Shelvey came on. We're missing that drive from the attacking midfielder.

He made a great pass there is no doubt however that doesn't make him a great player. And I want full backs who defend but BR prefers attacking full backs which means that is what we need. And Enrique is suffering from a year long dip in form. He needs to have straightened it out by now. Even so he still does not provide what BR wants in a LB.

And I guess you and I see a different player. I see a guy who is confident with the ball going forward. Is decent with both feet and does well in the overlap. I would prefer we had a left footed Glen Johnson clone but that doesn't exist.

Enrique isnt a "Kenny player" .

Kenny bought him as a 25 year old who had already played aprox 60 games in the Premier League .

Kenny had absolutely nothing to do with his development .

Kenny bought him to replace Koncheskey , the dire Aurelio & Insua .

We were a relegation threatened squad the season before Enrique arrived & after his 1'st season we had the 3'rd tightest defense in the league .

Enrique is a LFC player .

I believe he meant Kenny player in terms of style of play. He is a good player but doesn't fit our current managers philosophy

Fabio was dire was he?  Shocking injury record sadly, but he was quality the few times he was fit.

Dire Koncheskey would have been a more accurate statement.

      Aurelio dire WTF!!!!

The bloke was ill fated with injury but was a class player, such a shame he never got to play a few seasons injury free. His technique was impeccable was really sorry to see his career with us end as it did.

If it was scored against us ?

I would have been furious that Suarez's goal was allowed to stand .

      Seriously .

If you control the ball with any part of your arm then it is a hand ball & the shoulder is as much a part of the arm as the fingers or the hand itself are .

If he took it on his chest & finished the way he did then we are talking about a genuine world class finish but in reality we are looking at the result of what can only be described as at best very sloppy officiating .

Henry done something very similar against Ireland & got slaughtered for it but Suarez gets glorified for a more subtle version of it against Newcastle .

I suppose its true that bad decisions & bad luck  even themselves out over he course of a season because for me that is one we well n truly got away with & the less we say about it the better .

You are allowed to use the shoulder. You never played a football match in your life, and havent watched much on the telly either

Mate unless you are very very bored then you are wasting your time trying to educate someone who thinks using your shoulder should be hand ball.

Think this is one of the best performances we've had all season and 100% deserved all the points! Again though it is clear we are missing that cutting edge other than Suarez! Beautifully taken goal by Luis and set Shelvey up a treat, can't help but think if we had another goal scorer on the pitch it'd have been a certain goal!

Not sure what this has to do with my post about the team at the moment but ok....

Every team we have had in the last 20 years has been short of an extra couple of players.

Dire CM' of Masch, Lucas, Alonso and dire attackers of Torres, Garcia and Babel. oh and the dire keeper Reina. Dire youth players that we are now seeing at the club.
