Very nice win for the Reds, badly needed too.

Jose Enrique is my MOTM for giving us the best left wing performance we've seen for a while.

Big shouts to Suarez and Sterling as well, our attacking trio combined extremely well.

Glen Johnson was also great on the left IMO, he's such a good footballer it looks almost natural to him playing on the opposite side.

Hendo for Suso dont look to baffling now i must admit.

But bringing him on did have a direct influence with winning the battle in midfield, which we were struggling with for large parts of the first half. Which coincidentally ties in with us having more possession in the final third. No-one is claiming he had a fantastic impact in creating the goals, but the industry and energy he has shown since coming on has influenced our play in the middle of the park. I don't think anyone is going overboard with the praise of Henderson, he's had a very good game since coming on, he hasn't been fantastic. I understand that must be difficult to bear being one of Henderson's biggest fans of course.

I agree Henderson was really good today and his addition was important.

What I was saying before (I know you're replying to federer, but still) was that I believe people are too fast in calling a relatively annonimous performance "fantastic". Henderson is proving he has a part to play in this squad and I'm happy for it, still needs to grow a lot as a player for me though.

He set low standards for himself last season though, and I think because of that any improvement is seen with slight exaggeration. Just my opinion though.

A pleasure to watch especially the second half.

Hope this is the catalyst for a good run of wins, onto Young Boys Thursday only this time I'm be there in person.

Was thinking the same all through the second half - their midfield was full of holes for one.

A good win, not vintage by any means, but some encouraging signs.  We must take this into the games coming up. 

what an enjoyable afternoon just added to by the blueshite slipping up Spurs getting twated Newcastle getting beat.Our luck which has been absent other than bad luck isnt finally about to change is it.

Can't disagree with alot of that.

Although I think its abit harsh calling Hendersons performance 'relatively anonymous' mate, in fact out of midfield today (Barring Enrique of course) I thought he stood out ahead of Gerrard & Allen. Again, I don't think he was fantastic (I've not seen anyone say he was, but my mistake if they have), I just think he played very well & ultimately deserves plaudits. After all the stick hes had to put up with since his arrival here (Again, most of it warranted) today was a refreshing performance & one hopefully he can kick on from.

Stats say that Wigan had more possession & passes than us.

Sorry, but I don't believe that for a second. The only time they ever had the ball was for small attacks & counter-attacks.

We were dominant.
