Agreed, but it was something to watch. The whole things is really only a dress rehearsal for the World Cup anyway. Still been a good tournament. The World Cup matches are going to be much tighter, slower and cagier affairs me thinks. Been pretty attacking football on show from all sides (even Tahiti tried) in this Cup.

Attacking football like we've seen from the nations in this tournament would be a refreshing change after the dire World Cups of South Africa and Germany in 2010 and 2006. Don't want to put a downer on these sides but I've often found that its the African sides who really bring down the quality of the competition. Teams that are hyped up beyond their capabilities (Ivory Coast anyone?) always perform like a joke it seems and as far as I see, in spite of the patronising attitudes towards African football by the likes of FIFA and the media, the sport has not moved on one jot in the continent the past decade or so.

What a game this has been so far. Arbeloa lucky to still be on the pitch, after bringing down Neymar who may have got through 1 on 1 with Casillas. Spain trying to play their game and Brazil shutting it down. Very feisty affair, with Torres running away from Marcelo and then running away when he realised everyone saw it happening. I had Iniesta 1st goalscorer, which is already gone. Have David Luis anytime, Brazil to be winning at half time and Spain to win plus vice-versa.

Must say, two fantastic teams but F**k me do they both really piss me off with their constant antics when the ref makes a call.

Brazil should be at least 3-0 up. I can guarantee fabregas will be on soon.

In all, a disappointing final. Would have been nice to see Brazil play the real Spain.
