If you start both (Enrique/Downing) I can't see why you'd play it any other way (it showed why at Spurs).

Much prefer to have Jose  forward and Downing LB.

Downing offers little going forward.

But you play Enrique as full back you get both his defensive qualities as well as his attacking prowess. You play Downing as full back and imo all you get is a poorer defender.
