Top result, far more direct and the midfield was solid, no room for Allen while Lucas, Gerrard and Shelvey are fit.

I guess the "system" worked today, amazing that.

I don't mind Downing shushing anyone. I want him to keep shushing them with performances like this.

His issue has always been confidence and drive. Today's performance was a sign of what happens when he puts both on display. Need more of that from him. Props to Rodgers for challenging him in the first place.

Speaking of shushing the doubters, Stevie G was all over it today. Best game from him in a long while. He looked very comfortable in that deeper role.

We needed this. Oddly enough we played with almost the same team as we did last season. Now I'm confused about how much progress we really made. Regardless, great game by us!

Lucas and Allen are very similar if both play especially at home I don't think we commit enough players forward and penetrate enough
