Quick question - what year did the women's game become professional?

On face value, it makes sense to have a representative from the women's game on the PFA.
Taking a more cynical view, it could be seen as a PR move, giving the panel a more 'diverse' lineup, avoiding the criticism received by the new FA committee a few weeks back.
