James Pearce ( FSG fan) had said the not being able to sell Sakho will affect our transfer budget. Is this a case of getting the excuses in early?

Even if we didn't get CL football and didn't sell a single player we should be able to spend £100M on players without a second thought.

I'm no fan of these owners and think they are too thrifty but I also think we need to all live in the real world when it comes to our finances. Man Utd have revenues of at least £150M per year more than us. Thats Paul Pogba's transfer fee, his wages and £1M per week (Some reports actually have it as £200M more than us)

I find it difficult to get excited over so called prospective signings these days,We get so many names thrown around that come to nothing.We need to get back to the situation where a player counts himself lucky that L.F.C. want to sign him.

Apparently we're interested in AC Milan's full-back Mattie De Sciglio. I know nothing about him to be honest, but I'll assume he's a left back.

And those should have all the tv money if I understand correctly.

Finishing 8th that season still got us [minimum] £124m in TV revenue...

Even the lowest of the low can now afford to splash the cash on transfers and the simple truth is: every last f**ker & his brother can afford to compete for 'mid-range' players - it's no big deal for anyone now and isn't exactly praiseworthy.

Haven't seen much of him lately, but a few years ago he was touted as the new Zambrotta.  I think he is like Clichy in the sense that he is 2-footed and can play either flank to a high standard.  I remember seeing him play at the Euro's last summer and he did quite well.  Also read Conte wants him at Chelsea....

May burst domestically but here in the states it's going strong.
