It should at least have them pondering. This is the exact worry people had....when one of Salah,  Firmino or Mane dropped off in quality or form....what do we do. I'd say tonight a couple of them did (Mane and Salah were both average for me) and it was easy to see how much it affected us.

When you have such poor decision making continually taking the wrong option last night can happen.

Gomez who has never scored a PL goal getting into decent positions and taking 25 yard pot shots WTF.

Players and manager got a kick up the arse last night.

We do need to sign a creative midfielder but not because of last night.

Coutinho would have struggled against them as they harried us and pressed us...he always had issues with that. In fact Gomez’s shot was basically what Coutinho likely would have resorted to trying. We were too stagnant and allowed them to force us through the middle where they had support. We needed width and our fullbacks didn’t do much to provide it.

Tell me how Coutinho used to affect games against bus parkers, because I genuinely don't remember it making any difference, he used to be crap in those sort of games. Its not the players which are wrong its the system, plus the fact that we as a team had an off night whilst Swansea as a team had a great night and luck on their side.

Isn't the while coutinho thing pointless... still not played for Barca through injury so wouldn't have played for us...

, I know, but it is true, getting a player back from a long term injury, like Lallana,  is almost exactly like a new signing and does improve the squad.

The best thing about having "The Fab Four", wasn't that we had Mane, Firmino, Salah & Coutinho on the pitch sometimes.
It was that it allowed Klopp to rest one or two (Dropping them to the bench) without it having a massive negative effect on the team.

Without Coutinho, the problem now isn't that the team suffers but more that there is no margin for injuries.
The club needs another signing. Not to drop somebody from the first team, but to have options that allow rotation and sharpness.

Coutinho is like losing two players in the squad. LM & LW. Somebody like Sanchez would have been a phenomenal replacement,
but the Manchester clubs made him untouchable for anyone else. The hole in the Liverpool squad is still there. Klopp's gone from
being spoiled for choice in the forward positions to being light on the left hand side, with no options outside of Woodburn as backup.

Certainly fill the void the much maligned Lucas left,can be that defensive barrier our CB's need at times &  his experience alone in the buisness quarter of the season is worth it..
