I think it is a wise move for Loris to get out of here and go somewhere new to restart his career. As for Migs as back-up I don't think it that horrible, he just a dime a dozen average keeper. Just cross your fingers Alisson keeps fit for majority of the season.

How? I know Simon isnt one for the footballing hipsters but F**k me Karius is  a total disaster. Mignolet staying is the right choice. Even taking away Karius' recent jitters he wasn't good anyway.

There's no point dressing this up any longer. He was awful as a #1 and thankfully this type of cheap signing seems a thing of the past. He's Besiktas' problem now.

Mignolet will be a decent number two certainly more capable than the likes of Bogdan, Doni and Jones we've had in the past. Anything more than that he's a shithouse too. #2 keeper though certainly decent enough.

Karius is destroyed. Every time the camera cuts to him he looks ready to tear up.
He needs games and he needs them out of this country to get himself right.

You ever watched Mignolet play these last few years? Karius between January and that Champions League final probably showed more competence in goal in those 5 months than Mignolet did in 5 years. He, more than anyone, was most responsible for our bad defence in the months and years pre January of this year. For a keeper I had high hopes for in 2013 and who got off to a decent start with three clean sheets in his first three matches with us he really has turned into an absolute wreck of a keeper and has just got worse and worse over time, failing to repay the constant 'second chances' he's been given by not just Klopp but Rodgers as well. In the last year alone you can look at Arsenal away last Christmas. Leicester away last September. Watford this time last year. West Brom at home this year in the Cup. F***ing atrocious. In Klopp's first season as well he arguably cost us the chance to qualify for the Champions League what with his clangers in 2-2 draws at Anfield against West Brom, Sunderland and Newcastle (all of which we led, the latter two matches 2-0) and then a vintage balls up of a display that saw us lose to Southampton 3-2 after leading 2-0 at half time. 9 points dropped that would have seen us into the top 4 back in 2016.

Realistically who are we going to get as a #2?

If you rate Karius like you do or think he's sh*t like me, most people would at least be able to see Karius head was long gone.

I mean personally i'd rather we got shut of them both and kept Ward but when you get offered 15 million or whatever it was for your #3 and your then #1 and #2 aint worth that combined its probably hard for the money men to turn it down.

Hopefully he'll be used very sparingly but like I say he stands up with our competitors fellow #2s and our recent #2 keepers of days gone by.

I agree he needs to get his career back on track. Once it is he'll probably be alright at Besiktas but just dont think it would still cut it here anyway.
