He is a decent honest CB , a bit like Maguire really a touch over hyped and way to experience. Both certainly aren’t at rbe level of our current 4 CB’s so I don’t see the need to spend a lot of money of a player who will be a back up of a back up

And I would rather develop players like Phillips and Masterson

Robertson looked pretty ordinary in a Hull side...

So did Gary Cahill in a Bolton side before signing for Chelsea

Why on earth will Klopp spend £40-50 mil on a player to just sit on the bench - it’s clear as day who he sees as his CB pairinf for the future and it’s clear he is looking at the young players to come through

OK... Lets say during the Arsenal game Lovern get injured and is out for six, Gomez has a set back, and is out for a further three weeks and Matip for a further two weeks we are now facing Bayern Munich in the first leg of the last 16 in the CL with VVD suspended and two y youth CB available...

Do you still feel that it is OK not to bring in a CB in the January window...?

No it’s not but what you say is typical of the want it now way of the world - most appear to show any sort of patience and expect players just to get used to the club or Prem straight away - some players can take a whole season

Just a quick question, how many centre backs do you want in your 25 man squad? Take away 3 keepers and it's down to 22 already. Got 4 full backs, that's us down to 18 spots. Lets take the rest of the first team out as well, that's down to 10 spots.  And we've got cover in all the midfield spots and a couple of forwards, Shaq and AOC as in betweeners. That's down to 3 spots, of which two are already centre backs.

And some of you want to use that last spot for another centre back?

If we had a lot of money to play with then maybe the manager would look at something in the summer but after giving Lovren a new contract and understand he is a massive fan of Matip I can’t see him looking to replace either - especially when it could cost a small fortune.

Think Klopp is going to be looking at the forward line - mainly a wide player and someone to sit a touch deep
