Time will tell - I just think Jürgen has been open about never replacing Cou and clearly wanted Fekir.

I don’t really buy that Shaq was Plan B to Fekir - he was just a versatile, intelligent, quality addition to the squad.

Has to be the quietest Transfer Window thread we have ever had.
Not even the papers are linking us to anyone.
As others have stated, I do hope that the potentially great batch of youngsters we have; Wilson, Brewster, Camacho, Jones and Woodburn  get their chances next season BUT I certainly feel we need about 4 players next year to keep the team evolving.
Clearly another back up keeper, a left back, a right back and hopefully another versatile forward line player.
The squad is certainly evolving and becoming a fantastically youthful group of excellent players.

3 yes but definitely a #10, possibly 1 more.

(1) Striker - probably the top priority (strong Werner links); Out - Origi, Sturridge with Solanke already gone

(2) #10 or Wide forward - depends on the profile that Jürgen likes. With Wilson back in the fold, we could see Shaqiri/Chambo more central if we nab a wide player, competition for Mane; Out - Lallana, (should I even include Markovic?)

(3) LB - Lloyd Kelly? Out - Moreno

(4) #2 GK - Could Grabara step up? Out - Migs

Since we'll probably bring in someone like Lloyd Kelly who is versatile as a CB/FB, dont think we'll go for a CB unless one of Matip/Lovren is sold.

Now, for that wide player, what are these rumors from Bild linking us with Hudson-Odoi??

I think we definitely need to address our lack of goals outside the front three come summer. I know Shaqiri has pitched in and Milner has a few but we need others who can contribute and ease the burden on the boys up top. We truly are very fortunate to have three tremendous athletes that can play almost every game and come away unscathed but how long does that last - hopefully the season at least.

As others have alluded to, City could lose Sterling/Aguero/Sane and still put out Mahrez/Jesus/Silva. If we lost our front 3 - however unlikely that may be - how many are confident we score goals?

Our backup options are either no longer, or never have been, Liverpool quality. We have a lot of gifted, hardworking midfielders but none of them really pose a goal threat. Milner gets the odd goal, mostly from the spot, but that’s about it.

There’s absolutely no doubt in my mind that Klopp’s first priority come summer is a forward. I also agree with others on here that say we need another attacking option on top of that, a creative type that can pitch in with some goals. Other than that, a back up left back and maybe a replacement centre back, if one of Matip/Lovren leaves.

Yep. Been reading up on him as well as seeing that game vs Spurs in the Carabao cup. Chelsea fans prefer him to start over Willian and Pedro, with some suggesting they shouldn't have wasted funds on Pulisic because they believe Hudson-Odoi is something special.

Why not take a punt at him, right? With all the hype surrounding him, Chelsea and Bayern desperate to keep/buy him, maybe he  could be as good, if not better than Sancho with game time? And if he really is that good, he will get a lot of game time for us imo.

Chelsea and City are littered with super star kids, we should shop there more often !
