I'm more concerned why we are interested in a CB who from what I have seen is worse than Gomez, Matip and Lovren. Knowing that he has that c**t of an agent is the final straw, PASS

I would like Kieran Tierney as a left back option. He's a fellow Scot so Robertson will be easily able to communicate expectations of the role to him, and help him to develop. No point bringing in anyone else as nobody else will understand a word Robertson is saying.

Need a back up striker urgently, and we should be able to sign Zaha with ease, as for De Ligt should improve in leaps and bounds playing along side VVD for both Us and for Country

Should also take a look at who both Barca', City and Real are selling this summer

Not me because I highly doubt we are in for another huge fee for a defender.

He's 19, VVD is 28 so if he develops, he should be coming into his prime just as VVD is slowing down.
It would leave Gomez (21 now) as the senior partner, and hopefully ensure a seamless transition.

That's what I'd like to happen.

I'd rather we sign someone like Tarkowski if we need more CB's, someone who is proven now, not just some new bench warmer who may or may not come good.

Tierney is an exceptional prospect but has stalled somewhat at Celtic.

He is though - too good to go anywhere as squad / backup and given he is already shuffled about the back 4 for Scotland to accommodate the more accomplished (at this stage by a long way) Robbo I can’t see him signing up for a season of that.

Needs to leave the hoops though - he’s stagnating imo.

How many players at how many different Club has said similar things only to leave when the right offer for them came along...?

The man could become a club legend in the next few weeks if we pick up on eof the trophies on offer.

More than Tarkowski, yes. At 7 years younger, he is a starter and captain for Ajax, a CL semi-finalist and league winner. He's also better for the future given his young age and monstrous potential.

De Ligt might be the next big thing but I don't think it would be sound to invest in him.  He's overvalued, I'm not saying overrated. Yes he's a captain at 19 but so was Sakho at PSG. We better find another good CB for a fair price rather than spend a fortune on a teenager without experience against top top strikers.He could hardly manage Llorente and Llorente, as good as he is, is not the best at what he does. In the EPL, you face these kind of strikers and better ones almost every week. If we want to spend much on a great CB, aim for Koulibaly. But I suspect Gomez will be Van Dijk's partner and Matip and Lovren will be their subs. I would fancy us getting Godin though. He would add invaluable experience to our team.

I like Lovren, I think he really has the skills of a world class defender but he messes up too often. 3-5 times per season is too much for the level we're playing at.

I think he’s a good, talented kid but I wouldn’t be looking to move anyone we have out for him.

People forget how good Degsy was after Spuds at Wembley last season right up to and including the finals of UCL & WC.

You know, all these clubs he has been linked with, and not one mention of City? I think City will need a CB this summer (as well as a 6), so I think he will join them if we are not interested in him.

Would love Sane but I believe that he will head back to Germany
