I wouldn't feel too bad for the Newcastle fans,there was no sympathy for us from anyone when we had to contend with the terrible twins-Hicks and Gillette.

If Lovren leaves, we may well need a new CB, but I think a U23 player will take his place in the squad, Fabhino proved he is good enough to cover if we need him.

Alas I think Clyne will be replacing Wan Bisaka at Palace if the rumours are true. I think Milner and Gomez will be cover for both full back positions so no Moreno replacement. If we were going to replace Sturridge then I,d be knocking on the Chavs door for Tammy Abraham, personally.

True, but we can set the example for others.  Win with humility, lose with grace, and do both with dignity.  When I see how "supporters" at other clubs treat their own players, it emphasizes just how special the Liverpool family is.  Sure, we've got a few numpties who like to sh*t stir (there's one in every family) but for the most part our supporters are the gold standard.

My only concern is proper cover at LCB for VVD. All of Lovren, Matip and Gomez do better on the right than left, so maybe Lovren goes and another CB better suited to the left side of the pair can come in, but in total numbers 4 is more than enough.

Fab is not a long term solution if we have an injury. If we play him CB we lose what he offers in midfield.

Correct. But they did have Kompany which led to them having 4 registered CBs.
Talk of them getting another CB in but I wouldn't be massively shocked to see them use Fernandinho there with Rodri coming in and Gundogan getting used a lot more as the season came to an end.

I dont understand Liverpool's current transfer policy. I know Klopp has said no big transfers this summer. Why? Now is the time we should be getting these players. The feeling around this club is palpable and we could attract top players. City is spending as usual. They're going to be better, Spurs has finally spent money . I think were missing a chance to close the gap with City and its intentional. Why not get Fekir or Isco or Bale or Felix? I think were missing a golden opportunity to solidify this club with clubs like PSG, Bayern, Barca and Juventus.

I would agree but we are a couple of nasty injuries away from being back in pack so a couple of decent signings is definitely needed. It’s an opportunity to replace squad players like Studge and Moreno with a couple who could push for a starting place which would raise competition and enable us to handle the added rigours of the world club cup, super cup and who knows maybe a domestic cup run.
