I'd take one more winger and a CB in this window. The winger is to cover mane or Salah with Kent as cover also. If we keep phil I'd have Woodburn as his cover now that lallana is injured. If we don't get too many more injury's I wouldn't expect to see alot of milner in midfield except in the cup games.

At this point I am convinced that Klopp is running this and that FSG are backing him. He has wanted Robertson for over a year and we got him. We had heard last season he fancied Salah and we got him. There seems to be no alternative for VVD at CB. The Kieta saga seemed to be Klopp saying he is our man only to be hitting up a club that wasn't selling. We won't sell Coutinho due to Klopps love for him, etc. It only seems normal to blame FSG for crapping the bed on this type of thing, but I do think they have finally given the keys to a manger and backed his plans. However, at this point his two big pitches have fallen of deaf ears. However, if VVD comes in before the 31st the tactics will set us up for years rather than settling on a 2nd rate CB. Now if he doesn't sign.......

If we sign VVD and the signing of Robertson can take the goals conceded down to the mid 30's whilst the signing of Salah, Solanke and hopefully a fit and firing Sturridge can increase/maintain our goals for column, we really would be making progress and most probably be heavily involved in a title challenge.

Chilwell last Summer..that being said I think he wanted a young left footed back....might be the case of option #2 this season was good enough for him this season, whereas there seems to be no compromise on 2nd choice mid-fielders; though I do expect something if VVD does not get done.

I'd be ok, if Klopp was prepared to wait a season for VVD, it would make more sense than buying a stop gap, unless who ever we bought was a real upgrade on Lovren/Klavan.

Just read we sent reps to talk to Ajax Hakim Ziyechs agent. I have read good things but dont much on him. Anyone ever watched him and can break him down a bit? Not a Rib Wikipedia breakdown but a "I have have watched him play and this is what I see" breakdown.
