If Goretzka is out of our reach, I'd love us to consider another German midfielder instead. One we played against in the qualifying rounds of the UCL. I wonder if he would be cup tied for the UCL because of those two matches?

Haven’t watched a lot of him to be honest but he looked good in those two games.

Is it crazy to want to go buy another top shelf CB as opposed to adding to our attack? How awesome would it be to have Salah, Mane, Lallana, Keita, Bobby, and Ox for our attack and know if we score two goals that we stand a great chance of seeing the game out? Lemar would be cool, but buying a back line that can defend is what I want. I trust Matip more than Lovern, but not by much. Let’s buy another center halve

Yeah I don't think he would be cup tied either. I've watched a fair bit of him in the Bundesliga last season, and also in the Europa League both matches against Braga this season, and he's always looked really good. I don't think he's ever been linked to us, but I just think he would make so much sense. Feels to me that a player like him, like Naby Keita, could adapt to a Klopp system fairly easily

And only 18 months age difference (happy birthday Jack ) and we moan abut Hendrson's fitness issues . Can't see Wilshire nearly doubling the amount of football he has played in the next year and a half.

I think we would all agree that goal scoring is not their forte.

If we were offered Wilshere for Henderson though, I’d bite your hand off. Outside of our fan base you’d be hard pushed to find someone that thinks Henderson is more talented than Wilshere. I did actually ask a few folk who have no allegiances to either club and the response was overwhelmingly Wilshere.

I get the whole ‘hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard’ but that only goes so far for me. There comes a time when we need to accept that, as far as Premier League players go, Henderson has very limited technical ability. Hate to knock the lad (not that it will bother him, I’m sure) but I don’t see a future for him at the club. I’m sure, as soon as their is a sound replacement, Klopp will let him go.

Christ, meant to be looking to build a team capable of being able to compete and we are here comparing Wilshere and Hendo. Both nothing more than squad players. Not particularly overjoyed about us having Hendo so really don’t want to think about having Wilshere too!

Meanwhile, looks like we’ve missed out on Goretzka. Shame, now he looks like a player with quality! Need to be looking at more of that and not a crock like Wilshere.

Thanks, I find that quite surprising to be honest but it just means Wilshere is even more sh*t than Henderson.

Sanchez would be more than suitable as a replacement. It’d be good to snatch another player away from City but I don’t see it happening - did he not snub us before?

His contract runs up in the summer if I’m not mistaken, so it may be worth putting in a bid if Cou is to leave.
