Why would he be backup, if we had 4 or even 5 attackers rather than 3 we could start rotating and keep them all fresh.

 I'd rather keep Solanke and play him week in, week out than us signing a 31 year old Vardy!!

He probably does not have many useful years left, but Vardy's pace, power and finish would be a great add to the front 3.

My point being, I don't rate Vardy highly. I bet there are far better forwards out there we can get for 40m+.

Personally, I'd like us to go for a player that has good fitness levels with strong footballing abilities. I believe one of the key reasons why Salah and Mane scare as much as they do is because of Firmino's movement and ability to drop off and get involved in build up play.  A player similar to Dybala would be great imo. Just prefer that type for our system than an out an out striker that likes to play on the shoulder.

Not worth it for the headache if his sometimes bad attitude. Doesn’t seem like a Jürgen type player.

As much as I love our attacking play, and I really really do love it, I'd like to see us get one more top notch CB to partner VVD and a top top goal keeper, that's actually my priority more than attacking players as I see attacking players as a bonus.

An attacker or two is just as important as reinforcements further back IMO. We're an injury away from a complete disaster up top really - Solanke and Ings aren't up to it, Ox is injured so can't be pushed further up, Lallana hasn't played for a whole season and Klopp doesn't seem to have faith in Woodburn either. At least before when we had Coutinho we could push him into the front three when injury/suspension hit like it did with Mane, now we can't even afford to do that.

We need a goal keeper, centre back, defensive midfielder and attacker in equal measure. Anything after that is a bonus.

Reason I asked about people's valuation of Vardy is that I think he would be a good addition for us.  He may well be a bit of a c**t but I remember successful Liverpool teams having several of them in the team.

Agree on us needing another CB.  If only for the fact that Matip, Lovren and even utility Gomez seem woefully injury prone.

Anyone next to VVD is going to look inferior though so we need to factor that in and not expect another of that calibre.

A 31 year old who relies mainly on his pace, his best years are behind him and for the price Leicester would want with the English premium we can do much better.
