Think we can likely forget January for signings this year. In the summer I expect we will bring in a big name striker though, or a striker well on his way to being one of the best around to replace Origi and Sturridge. We can’t go into next season with just Bobby and Brewster. Can we class Werner as a big name? I’m not sure if he is that just yet, but I think he’s the standout choice IMO.

He is incredible. Had a pretty decent debut for a player who has barely joined in the middle of the season!

Barca and coutinho were desperate for the move, so we fleeced them, no way is he a £100m player, he stunk the place out with his cry baby attitude, serves him right.

For 100m, we could find a player much better suited to our system.

Not for 100m but for 50. I'd get him back. I don't take leaving personally. Nowadays there aren't much of loyalty. You have few lads who are loyal but the majority of players are just players who want to be payed well, play for a big club and win things.
The same goes for clubs, they will sell a player when not needed.
I'd take cou back because he is still class and pretty young for one who has played for a long time.

I wonder how much Barca have actually coughed up so far? I'm guessing it's in instalments I'd be surprised it's more than £30m, the only way I could see him coming back/us having him back is like you handing a car back on finance if you haven't paid for it. Maybe a slightly daft example but I don't think we'd pay  a fee for Coutinho Klopp would probably think he could get a more suited player for a far lesser fee. Another thing Phil would have to take a wage reduction and thats what worries me United would pay him more.
I also wouldn't be shocked to see him go to PSG as a make weight for Neymar.

Sentimental blablabla, Coutinho back would mean we've got a better chance of winning the league. Not gonna happen though.

Torres and Suarez left us and soon became European champions. Coutinho in six months at Barcelona has already won more than in years at LFC. We won the league cup, six years ago. If we want players to stop leaving us, we have to lift some trophies, not try and appeal to their higher sentiments. Hopefully we're on the way to start doing just that.

By the way - if anyone has seen the James Forrest rumours.........quality player.

Nowhere near good enough in my opinion for the level we’re at now.

I also seen we are being linked to Conor Coady though the combination of him in contract talks, being a former academy product and our CB situation makes it easy to say we are "monitoring" him.

Don’t think Rabiots alleged attitude problem will be tolerated by Klopp.

Apparently the Barca deal fell through because his mother who is his agent demanded a guarantee on the position and number of matches.
