Totally agree. We could practically swap him for Lallana cos he would fetch a similar fee or at least close to that. But may be, the staff are worried about another Lallana-ish player in terms of fitness.

I think it would be better for our squad to look for a predominantly strong wide left sided player than right. Pepe and Fekir are more right sided attackers than left.

Have been watching him last couple of seasons, and he is inconsistent but has as much ability as Zaha, and not forgetting he will be in his peak for the next 4-5 seasons! Would do a job for us as a sub or first teamer. I would love us to sign him tbh.

Looked good for West Ham up to Christmas thought he was woeful rest of the season.

I think West Ham is his level myself and Zaha is a far superior player.

I would imagine Brewster is Daniels replacement in the squad which is fine because you are not going to sign a £50mil forward to keep the bench warm.

Strangely I saw more of him when playing for Lazio last season than seeing him play for West Ham (sadly I haven't seen a single ball kicked in any of the European leagues this season thanks to the mess that is tv rights).

I agree - he's a good player and was definitely a real standout player in a good Lazio side when I watched them last season.

From the highlights, this Pepe kid looks extremely limited and average to me.  It seems like about 50% of his goals came from pens.  On the surface, his goals and assists record this season looks really good.  However, if you take away pens, it's really not that impressive for Ligue 1....
