Julian Weigl's agent has come out and said there is interest from Benfica & other clubs, and that he could move. Has filled in at CB for Dortmund this season.

Surely, we could use his DM/CB versatility! And his contract expires in 2021. Could be a decent buy for a decent amount.

not a bad shout, but he'd have to adapt to the Prem, I'd rather someone familiar with the Prem, an older safe pair of hands on loan perhaps.

Milner is LB cover. Matip and Lovren will return soon so we don't need to panic buy.

I get that Jürgen won't buy for the sake of it but we will have players scouted and I'd hate a run of injuries at the back to set us back.

If we have someone lined up for the summer, which I'm guessing we will, I'd be trying to get any deal done now.

Thats a good shout, I'd pay a bit over the odds to get him as well, we simply can't afford to blow this chance at winning the Prem by not having enough cover at the back.

Can't see us signing a centre back this coming window. We're in an unlucky spell where we've got two centre backs out and the first 'out of position' option is also injured. None of the injuries look season ending though so I think we'll ride it out.

Given Lovren's unreliability though I think we'll move him on in the summer and bring one in.

Lovren can't sustain a run of 7 games without injury.
At some point he needs to be replaced in the squad.

We won’t be signing a CB - there are already 4 in the club plus three highly promising youngsters.

I think they did pretty good in the second half.  I am more worried about our young goalie than CBs.

I literally said Lovren needs to be replaced. I just don't see it happening in January.

We've got four proper senior centre halves, one midfielder who has the height and attributes to do well at centre half and also a kid in Hoever who has already produced an assured display away at Wolves.  Yes we've got three injured at the minute but they'll be back soon and we'll be ok. I just think it's something out of Football Manager to be signing a centre back now who will more than likely be fifth choice in a few weeks time.
