Not sure I agree on either. Grealish is class and Kane's scoring is hard to argue with even if he is a mouth breathing ogre.

Not often I disagree with you mate. We've yet to see the best of Grealish as he's only playing in a mid table club with standard/average players.

This is City absolutely off the leash now as FFP is dead and buried.
100M on any player they fancy, while journos will no doubt talk about "dream moves" and "building greatness".
Sickening sportwashing and no way can any traditional club keep pace with it.

When a team isn't set up around/for them they look rather more ordinary.

Have to disagree with your statement, because you're basically describing Salah and how we center our offense around him far more than anyone else, nor does he enhance players around him. We would all agree Salah is a top player.

Even if what you say is true ( which I don't think it is ) it's still a upgrade on their squad to which no one else apart from Chavs can really compete.

 I think they are both undeniably excellent players who would improve any team in the PL. If City do somehow get both that would raise the bar yet again in terms of what we are competing against and further undermine any sense of FFP, especially during a pandemic.

They already have the best midfielder in the world in their ranks in De Bruyne and I think it's partly wishful thinking and partly a dislike of English players that would cause people not to be concerned about City's possible acquisition of Harrio Kaneo and Jacques Grelleché.

Kane overrated ? Really ! 166 goals in 7 seasons , will prob go past Shearers record , as a Goalscorer he is outstanding

F**k Grealish, trying to be the next Beckham. You can just tell the primadonnas jacking himself off infront of the mirror every morning. Falls over blades of grass if the winds blowing the wrong way.
Kane on the other hand is class. Would be hard to deny City with the best box to box midfielder and out and out striker in the league within the same starting 11.
Call me optimistic but I think there is something in this Mbappe rumour especially as he’s running his contract down which is the only way in hell we could ever consider him signing either next Jan or June. He’s already set for life, I’m sure he could take only 150-200k a week for a few years to play for his favourite manager in the best league in the world as he starts reaching his prime.

I find the way the commentators and pundits make excuses for Kane quite amusing.

I disagree,  Kane has glass ankles you can bet your bottom dollar he'll spend more time off the pitch getting treatment, Grealish is a grass muncher, never stays on his feet and susceptible to wimping out, obviously a great player but will he fit a Pep system, will Pep need to alter his system to fit those two in,
Of course they would enhance any side but that doesn't necessarily  mean it will work , we'll still be breathing down their necks all the way, to May and I take us all day long in the pressure stakes. In short they'll crack b4 we would.

Dutch lad Malen being touted as serious option anyone seen much of him ?

Kid seems pretty good from what I've see at the Euros (but that's like 2 games against so so/okay opposition so I wouldn't get too excited).

Some info from his Transfermarkt profile:

- Ex-Ajax and Arsenal academy player then moved to PSV

- He's 22 (will be 23 next January)

- Has been playing for PSV's senior team for about 3 seasons now

- First season (18/19) = 11G + 5A, Second season (19/20) = 17G + 9A, Third season (20/21) = 27G + 10A (*those numbers include all the competitions he played in in a given season and not just the Eredivisie)

All in all, he's young, quick, tricky, can play across the frontline, seems to have an eye for the goal and the assist and he's on an undeniable ascending curve in term of his numbers. I don't know about his attitude and his personality but as far as numbers, age, style go he hits the sweet spot in terms of the type of player we go for if Klopp and staff think he can make the jump to the PL. However, it is a big jump from the Eredivisie to the PL so I guess there's no guarantee he translates those numbers into PL goals/assists but then again, Luis Suarez (but then again Vincent Janssen )

Little basic stats comparison on the last season before joining (just for the fun of it) : Suarez joined us at 23yo, the season before he joined us (09/10) in the 48 games he played for Ajax that season he had racked up 48G and 24A in all competitions. I wouldn't think too much about it tho as Suarez was undoubtedly world class even back then.

Surprised there isn't a bunch of teams being linked but his price will definitely rise if he keeps playing the way he is with the Dutch national side in this Euro (provided they actually advance).
