That was in order to be classified as homegrown. Under the age of 21 in the league you don’t have to register them regardless of length of time at the club. However, you would be spot on with the 3 years for the Champions League it seems.

Yeah it's desperate from them as most year feck all happens! I might get more excited if there was a chance we were going to be in for anybody.

Hopefully it doesn't play out in results but I think we will get caught napping with our lack of activity in the window. Our rivals have stepped it up for sure.

Loaning Rhys Williams and Ben Davies AND letting Phillips move on as well would be a bold decision after what happened last season.

I'm not a doom monger, but if there was a window to be bold then this was probably it so many clubs struggling financially, probably the best opportunity we'll ever get to hoover up some talent. I know it's important to get players tied down but not even sure that handing out big contracts for players taking them well into there 30's is a great idea. Despite all our injury issues last year can't shake the niggling feeling that this team is coming to the end of its cycle and fear in 12-24 months time we may be sleep walking towards a major overhaul and significant investment being desperately needed
